Voting 101

Voting is a right at the core of democracy. K Votes provides voter education on both the fundamentals of voter registration, like absentee ballot requests and election updates, and the importance of voter turnout in community engagement and social change. Because of K Votes’ efforts, Kalamazoo College had a student voter turnout rate of about 84% in the 2020 national election. This is fantastic! We have specific links for the top three states that K Students are from. If your state is not one of these, you can use the third party links, they are safe. If you feel more comfortable using your state’s website, search for your state’s Secretary of State website and go to the elections tab.
